Thomas Whiffen LaFave (Owner)


Thomas LaFave has over 35 years of experience practicing law.  Tom has been helping clients with estate planning since 1980, and he has successfully handled many will contests and probate litigation.  Tom also provides corporate clients with excellent representation in all business disputes and concerns. Tom’s decades of experience ensures that his clients receive the best representation, and he is attentive to all his clients’ legal needs. He has extensive experience providing a full-range of legal services to small and medium sized business, including assisting with mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, real estate transactions, and obtaining proper zoning permits.


Tom is a 1973 graduate from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. He graduated from Marquette Law School in 1976. He is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Tom is an avid runner and enjoys vacations in Door County in all seasons.


Michael Joseph Rosolino


Michael Rosolino is an associate at Malm & LaFave. Mike is a dedicated attorney who is passionate about the law and seeking positive results for all of his clients. Mike is diligent and cares deeply about his clients. Since joining Malm & LaFave, Mike has concentrated his practice on all aspects of estate planning, litigation, and succession planning. Mike anticipates all of his client’s legal needs, including those that the client may have yet to consider.


Mike is a graduate of Tulane University Law School, where he was the president of his class and gave the commencement speech. During his second year, Mike was also President of the Law Women student organization. He practiced as a Student Attorney with the Tulane Criminal Clinic, where he represented indigent defendants, writing appellate briefs and arguing before the Orleans Parish Criminal Court. Mike also has a certificate in Mediation, Arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. He is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and the North Shore Business Exchange.


Prior to attending law school, Mike was an insurance adjuster and is very familiar with insurance and coverage issues. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from Georgia State University, which provides him with crucial insight into the real estate market and real estate planning.


Mike is a licensed trapper and is looking forward to hunting in Wisconsin. He recently moved to Wauwatosa and is enjoying the Milwaukee area.




Stephanie Shelton is the newest associate of Malm & LaFave, S.C. Steph is a 2016 graduate of Marquette University Law School and a 2013 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a CALI recipient for Disability Law, Fall 2015, and she has been published in the State Bar of Wisconsin, Children & Families publication for Summer 2016.


Steph started practicing law so that she could provide assistance to elders and their families during difficult times. Her zealous advocacy comes from hard-earned personal experience, as she knows firsthand what families go through when their loved ones’ health and mental capacity decline. She joined Malm & LaFave, S.C. to help families like her own plan for the future so they are prepared for the hard times, as well as the good. Along with the staff at Malm & LaFave, S.C., she will be there for you and your family.


She loves playing and watching tennis, Netflix, and playing with her new bischon puppy named Zoe. She also plays clarinet in her hometown community band, the Elkhorn-Holton Band, and has done so for over a decade. She grew up in Elkhorn and now resides in northwest Milwaukee. She looks forward to many wonderful years with her work family at Malm & LaFave, S.C.



Inna Pullin (Contract Attorney)


Inna Pullin is an attorney with the Law Offices of Inna Pullin, LLC. Malm & LaFave contracts with Mrs. Pullin when it's clients’ estate planning requires complex attention. Her practice includes retirement and estate planning, probate and trust administration, business formation, reorganization, and succession planning, personal and business tax matters, and charitable planning. Mrs. Pullin obtained her juris doctor from the University of Illinois and has been practicing since 1998.


Sherilyn Whitmoyer (Contract Attorney)


When Malm & LaFave’s clients require more complex business and corporate planning, Malm & LaFave turns to Sherilyn Whitmoyer. Ms. Whitmoyer is an attorney with Whitmoyer Law LLC, and a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law. Her practice focuses on corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions and franchises and dealership issues. Ms. Whitmoyer was named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2006.



Donald J. Ersler (Contract Attorney)


Donald J. Ersler  is a 1993 graduate of University of Detroit Law School, and possess Bachelor’s Degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.  He also has twelve years of practical engineering experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering.


Don started practicing law so that he could provide cost effective patent and trademark services to companies and individuals.  His extensive engineering experience provides him with the valuable experience to understand the engineering and functionality aspects of an invention, quicker than most other patent attorneys.  His patent experience covers the areas of patent searching, application preparation, infringement analysis, design around counseling and litigation.  Trademark experience includes searching, filing and litigation.


He loves to bicycle during most of the year.  Don grew-up on the northwest side of Milwaukee and presently resides in Elm Grove.  He looks forward to many more years of legal practice.
